i'm really impressed with the sound pumping out of these.  i've since added some more modeling clay to the cavities on the driver gasket.  i've also left the covering over the backside of the driver intact and added 2.5 cotton balls inside each of the cups.  they're "triple sized" Target brand.  the cotton is covering the vent as well, but taping over the vent still has an effect on bass tuning.  
 
i'm going to leave these alone until my SA5000 pads arrive.

How & where are people securing the craft felt to the back of the driver?  With glue? 2x sided tape?

Likely not the best solution, but while I have been playing around, I have been using Gorilla brand duct tape. I use a 1/4" strip around the outside edge. Eventually I will likely rubber cement it to the driver once I am sure I am happy. Which likely won't be anytime soon because I find myself tinkering every day.
