Bear with me, I'm typing from my phone.

I'm a little late getting this thread started because life got in the way as it tends to do when headphones aren't your life. But let's get this going.

I'm really just trying to follow CEE TEE's blueprint, mainly because his meets were such a great experience but also because I don't have the resources to reinvent his wheel.

So TL;DR I'm trying put together a big meet at the Doubletree in Burlingame in February or March and I want to know who's interested in exhibiting, helping to organize, or just showing up.

I'll update this thread as things flesh out, and make the official thread after we get enough interest to materialize some plans.

Thanks, Head-Fi!

Cheers,
Lurk

As usual if work doesn't swallow me whole in the winter, I'll be there.

CeeTee - quit laughing at me!!!  (semi private joke - I planned to be at both (both? three?) of CeeTee's meets, and missed them all...)

If I can make it, I'll bring my big messenger bag of transportable stuff, filled with whatever I've accumulated at the moment.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Last year's meet also ended up being very costly for me... I showed up to that one with my best stuff being:

Headphones: Sennheiser HD650, Sennheiser HD595, Shure SRH-840, Shure E4c, Grado SR60
Amps: Audio-gd NFB-12 (also a DAC)
DACs: Audio-gd NFB-12 (also an amp)

And now...

Headphones: Sennheiser HD650, UERM, Denon AH-D2000, Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm, Sennheiser HD595, Shure E4c, Grado SR225i, Grado SR60
Amps: Burson Soloist, Bottlehead Crack+Speedball (self-built), mini3 (built by MisterX), Audio-gd NFB-12 (also a DAC)
DACs: HRT Musicstreamer II, Audio-gd NFB-12 (also an amp)

Hmm... maybe my attendance isn't such a good idea...

Aww heck, against my better judgment, count me in.  Besides, I won those UERMs at the last Bay Area meetup, so I'm definitely into going to more meetups!

I'm happy to bring some of my junk with me this time... maybe share a table with someone...

Okay, I've promised myself that this year i will contribute to the community other than just show up and listen to other people's equipment like the last two years. So I've looked at the last couple years and the types of equipment that's in the Bay Area and the ones that aren't. There's a lack of RS so I will bring my fully-balanced RS Dark Star + LCD2 v2 for people to check out. :)

.  My bad!      Time to change my sig

.

Since @Lurkumaural and @Questhate were really great and <already> helped make the past two Bay Area Meets go as well as they did...

I think the next one at the NEWLY REMODELED DoubleTree (with a larger area than our previous space) will be fantastic!

Due to the Bay Area Meets, I have made some wonderful friends FIRST and put together killer equipment that makes me smile SECOND.

(Both rock.)

Meet you at this meet!

so long as the meet doesn't conflict with when I am scheduled to take my daughter on a "college tour" I will be there and willing to help out.  How soon before dates are locked in?

There are no proposed or final dates yet, correct?  I fall into the category of "there is never a really good date for me, so never a really bad date either".  I'll do my best to make it.  If (when) there are dates, I'll put the event on my calendar, and try like heck to make it.
