I should be able to attend this year.  I'll plan on bringing my Stat and K1000's setups.  I might have something new and really cool for the K1000 setup if I finish it in time...
 
I'm crossing my fingers that the UE guys and the audiologist make it again this year.  I'm on a quest for some fancy custom IEM's!

I'll bring my First Watt F5 clone for you to try with the K1000.  I really enjoyed the combination before I sold off my own K1000.  It would be very interested in hear how the amp works with any other headphone able to connect to the speaker taps!

That's a great idea, especially if my "project" isn't quite ready in time for the meet.  I have yet to hear the K1000's off any speaker amp, but I've heard great things about the pairing especially the F5 in particular.

It would be awesome to just hear your current set up for the K1000, especially after seeing how your EHHA was built.

I first tried my Lehmann BCL with +20 gain to drive the K1000 and was very disappointed in its performance compared to how well the amp work with my other traditional headphones.  The K1000 was designed for a Class A speaker amp so that's what I decided to get.  Needless to say the F5 blows away what I heard fromthe BCL although I am still using it as my preamp without complaints.  I will also have a Bottlehead S.E.X. 2.1 with impedance switches which I hear is also a good pairing.
