Sep 10, 2012 at 10:18 AM Post #91 of 111
Too much ??? Is that even a possible question to answer...

Sometimes
I do find myself asking this question - should i downsize?

Other times (almost always)
i dream of adding new jewels...

I think, i can be very happy with 2-3 cans Home, on the Move & Gym...

Currently i use:
Home: HD650 & D2000
On the Move: GR07 & IE8
Gym: GR02 Bass Edition, SoundMagic E30 or T-Jays

My Mind & heart has set on audeze lcd 2 for months now - I  need help :)

i was convincing my self with the idea of owning too many headphones for different environments and genres in music, but once i got the LCD-2, my denon D5k gathered a lot of dust in the their original box. although I remember when i first got them and spend with them 3 hours straight, i was really happy and now i can't listen to them ever, even if i can't take the Audeze outside i just can't justify taking the D5k for it's sound quality. i think I'm gonna have to buy an IEM that matches the sound quality from the LCD-2 ..

Everyone needs a flagship can for every brand out there. So whenever there is a new headphone, we can agree if it is the next best headphone, and we don't have to feel sorry for not having the best headphone in the market.

HE-500 or LCD-2...but I know LCD-2 just means I'm gonna want a LCD-3.  Atleast with the HD650, I have no desire for the 700 or 800.

But I'll stick with my set of 4.

Well, I'd say that two headphones is all you really need.

One full-size open pair for using when home and one pair of transportable for whenever you are on the move or don't want the sound to leak through.

But of course as with any hobby, what you need and what you want is two very different things :D

My occasions are as follows:
On the road: I have custom IEMs for when I need great sound for an extended trip. I have universal IEMs for a faster-paced trip.
Office: I have "desk-drawer throw and go" closed cans for work, and a nice set of closed cans for special occasions at work, or at home.
Home: I have a nice set for home that I don't leave the house with.

That about covers it! Two definitely won't cut it. I have a few cans in each category to cover different moods.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.  Could you draw a diagram or something?
