I made a removable cushion that I posted a while back:

It was just a rough prototype (the stitching is a bit shoddy and I measured it by eye) but it works pretty well.  I'm currently working on a new one, or Rev.2, and  I'll be posting my tutorial once it's done (with proper measurements this time).  I'd like to see what you had in mind.

I just don't want it to be deformed. If I ever remove the mod I'd want there to be no sign it was there to begin with.

Mine is a little deformed as a result. There's a crease going through it.

Just keep the middle buttons unbuttoned and it will be fine.

EDIT: Here's a pic, although the poor photo quality doesn't show very much of it:

Talking about not enough treble:blink:

Dunno about you, but the Vegan LCD2 I have DEFINITELY have enough treble. In fact, more than my Annies.

It does. It has more than enough sparkle. That's why I call the the Hifiman LCD2, because I feel it'd probably be more like an HE500.

The leather LCD2 I demoed for 3 days however, had a definite roll off in the treble in comparison to the Annie.

Pre: I'm comparing now, the vegan LCD2 I have has more treble than the Annie. It's not even a question here. They are slightly more fatiguing because of it. My LCD2's graph is QUITE different from the LCD2 graphs posted on both Headroom and Innerfidelity... much more treble.

I'll be looking out for your rev2, it looks really comfy. But it looks quite hard to do. I don't actually have anything in mind yet but Im looking to do something that's easy to do, and easily reversible.

The beyer headband would be perfect if it fit perfectly on the hifiman headbands, leaving the middle buttons undone looks kinda ghetto.

Well, aside from the obvious mid and treble differences, I felt the LCD2 and HE-400 to share similarities. I don't think it'd be too far off to consider the HE500 something like an LCD2 with more treble, and less bass, with similar-ish mids. Of course, that's an assumption.

O well yeah - I agree with that.  No question..

I'll eventually ask someone with an HE-500 to trade with me for a week or so, just to see...

Keep in mind Audeze has a tradition of tuning in a huge peak around the upper end of the treble (13-17kHz region), which is a little past the "tizz" region but could still fatigue your ears in the shadows.
