Just hold the headband and stretch it flat, but carefully, a few times. Pause for about 5 second with each stretch and then test it. It's steel, it will reshape.

Does anybody use Equalizer APO - if so, would you mind sharing your settings? I'd like a darker than neutral sound from HE-400s. Thank you.

The HE400 were my first Ortho as well. Since then I've brought the HE500 and Mad Dog 3.2 as well, but they have a special place in my heart .. especially for electronic! Listening to vocal trance, chillstep and acid house was never this fun before.

I use it. My settings are attached below. It's main aim is to reduce the treble peaks, which it does well imo.

I also developed a tiny app which switches easily between my APO configs. It beats having to manually edit the config files whenever I switch headphones.

Thanks! Would you be kind enough to share your app as well?

I'd be glad to, but the problem with that is that the headphones displayed in the app are hard coded in. I'll toy around with it later and see if I can find a way for it to scan all headphone configs a user has and display them.

Bogatyr how would you like to test out my new EqualizerAPO switcher app? Or anyone else who uses EqualizerAPO for that matter?

It loads a list of all APO config files and allows the user to switch to any config on the fly.

You first set the path with your config.txt file and all other headphone config files. This is stored so you only do it once the first time you load the app.

It will then load the list of configs, with the one you have currently set as highlighted. Just select which one you want to load and click Set.

Hopefully you don't run into any bugs..

I'm also thinking about posting the app on the Computer Audio section or wherever would be appropriate.

^^ Very nice!!

Thank you for sharing. Your program works but I'm going to stick to my current technique. A Config.txt shortcut on the desktop, I can enable any of my presets by removing the forward slash from the "/Include:".

Created with GIMP

All I can say is wow L3000.gif I didn't know what to expect since its my first nice headphone. I love the clarity of it. I went back to my old headset for a minute just to see the difference and after listening to the HE-400,

my old headphone (Astro A40) sounds so bad compare to the HE-400. I don't even wanna use that anymore lol

I'm currently using my astro a40 gaming headset as well. So I just ordered the he-500 schiit lyr and bifrost uber. My frist setup as well. Can't wait for them to come in!
