My roommate finally got his PortaPros replaced - he had them for like a month before one of the ears shattered; then over our spring break he emailed Koss or summat about replacements. I should probably do so too, for my KSC-75s... the clip on the right ear came off and went missing. Grr.

Which makes me ask just how portable the PortaPro is.

Quite portable, good sir. You just get to hear the outside world while you listen!

I wear my Grado's to school...but then again I put them low enough where there is just about no leakage.

I work at a grocery store in the grocery department. I bag rarely but I bagged for like 10 minutes cause it was busy. I bagged a guy's grocerys and noticed he was wearing Koss KSC75's. I said that those are a good choice of headphones. He responded saying they only cost $15. And I said, but they are great value and you made a good choice. Thought I could maybe spot at least a budget head-fier.

It was an awkward moment.

the KSC-75 is fantastic for it's money, so is the little known Audio Technica EQ330. The EQ330 has amazing detail retrieval for the price, it's insane. In overall SQ, very very hard to beat the KSC-75 for the price.

here in Dubai, mostly the headsets that come with Nokia's or Blackberry's but there's recently been a surge in Monster Beats, Skullcandies and WeSC.. also saw a guy with Portapros, Steelseries Siberia V2 (not exactly portable but the guy had the cable stuffed in his backpack), some Denons

(actually met a guy with AH-C710 in the Denon showroom when buying my D1100s) and i nearly fainted with shock today when i saw a B&W P5 on a girl

saw someone with addidas originals HD-25's at the gym. It creeped him out that I knew what he was wearing when even he didnt know the model name

so he just got them because they were "adidas"?
he's lucky, I once tried some "nike" street style headphones, it was horrible. even the guy wearing them agreed that my KSC75 were better.

He knew enough to know that 'beats' are no good though he recommended Bose to me, if I could afford it. He def wasn't an audiophile, but he also def had better phones than my shure IEMs, so I cant rule out that he knew a little bit about what he was talking about.
