Gutted - same thing happened to me today, dynamic driver died on one side - second pair, and second repair from Fender over the years (I use them every day).
I could probably push around 1k AUD, but don't have the luxury of testing out different models.
Any of you guys able to steer me in the right direction for options which won't result it me being upset with the lack of bass vs my old friends?

Thanks for the into! How do these go connected to a phone which is how most of my listening takes place? More importantly, are they fairly heavy on the bass side without using EQ?
I also have a set of Fostex TM2 which I use as wireless backs for my IEMs with a 2-pin CIEM. I put the included Fostex drivers back in the box/packaging in disgust after 10 seconds of listening ha!
