absolutely, and I agree fully, just doesn't always seem to be reported, and looking for consistency

You are correct good sir.  It is not reported enough and the main guys here don't ask it enough.

Its also because most of the so called "basshead" iem been tested.  So, when someone comes in and say this and say that, we kind of brush it to the side.

Can someone please send me a link to replacement tips for the 2.5. The sureseal that came with it is damaged to a point that it is almost unusable. By the way tried the spinfit on the EX800ST. Quite nice but it seems that the bass is diminished a bit. Thoughts welcome.

For the 2.5 since the nozzle is so big, you sometimes have to get it damp for the tip to slide on.

Also with the spinfits, there are a bitch to get a good seal.  Thats why it seems like you are loosing some bass impact, cuz you are....

Why is this being even mentioned in here, when it's well known that even the CKR9 has no place here. Basshead not bass liker or bass appreciators club.
plenty of muddy bass or above average of tight and punchy bass

This is not the place to be discussing anything with muddy bass or above average bass. Nobody here wants muddy bass.

If anything "above average" was discussed in here it would be such a white noise thread nobody would find anything useful who actually cared about maximum refined bass. Nothing muddy, everything clear and big wide soundstage.

Anything else really doesn't belong in this thread as it distracts from the point of the thread and confuses people who come here to read for the recs.

I got my 64Audio U8's today, and I have one word --  GIDDYUP!!  They are fantastic!  It's like, all the other earphones I've had, the music is in your head.  These, it's like being in a concert, and the music surrounds you.  I love 'em.  I might very well be end game with these.  I put my phone in "Aux Mode", for more power from the amp, and they come to life.  It's like I'm listening to my stereo, with the sub just pumpin' out the beats.  If you like BA IEM's, want basshead, these are where you should look.  Thanks to the list, I'm a happy, happy man.

Well.. My order is in. Paid on site and submitted/trimmed impressions. Took photos and marked connector location, etc.

But... I went with the KL-KANON, not the KL-REF.

Is the KANON one of the 2BA+1DD ones? I'm having trouble remembering, but I still have my text file of notes from the tour set, and the KANON was my second favorite to the REF. Glad you were able to snag one man.

Custom shell for you, right?

(edit: haha is that ito-san's laptop? I have the same one :p)

They don't move air like the 2.5s, and the Kickers feel claustrophobic compared to these. I do get some vibrations, but where the U8s shine is soundstage. It's like listening to a stereo, not something plugged into your ears. The soundstage is wide and expansive.
