Am I crazy for preferring the bass of my asg g2 to the Fostex Th900? Waiting for the damn mail, driving me crazy... Haven't bought any new audio gear in a while, with the exception of the V10, which is a phone so technically doesn't count.

I have the Fostex already, waiting on the Sony Xb90ex.

On a side note, I listened to the RHA T20, briefly, not basshead levels at all, but I did enjoy the sound. Nice for a change from my bass head IEMS and definitely sounds better than the RHA T10, which I already own. I know there aren't many fans of them here, but I love the RHA IEMS, probably their sexy build.

So you said you like the Bass of your ASG 2.0 than the TH900? Damn, I always thought full size headphone would be better and especially the $900+ Fostex TH900 is prob the best Full size headphone for Bass.

Unfortunately, I don't. I need to add then to my little collection. I just wanted a different brand first though, since they are similar.

Need to get me another tralucent-audio-ref 1, they were my favorite all time iem, shouldn't have sold them. Hopefully in the next month or so I can add them back in.

My Xb90ex's arrived at my home... Too bad I'm at work. Going to have to leave early, as if I needed an excuse!!

Very impressed so far. Definitely a lot of bass. I only listened to one song, about 3 times. Pretty damn incredible, and I heard the mids and treble extension is perfect for me. These IEMS are pretty damn good. Sony Xb90ex that is. Tips are a bitch, hard to get a good seal and comfort. Only gripe so far

Is the old Sony xb40ex considered a bass head iem?

The XB90EX are so cheap. at least until sony realizes or more people realize how good they are. i have never heard the xb40ex, it's in the extra bass line of course but basically what I'm saying here is even if the XB40EX are good you should get the XB90EX because they're probably a lot better. If they're not, we should probably know if the XB40EX is a hidden gem... it looks similar to the 90EX but the 90EX looks more refined IMO so i wouldn't be surpised if the 90EX is a no question step up from the 40EX...

Very impressive iem. Definitely needs amplification, more so than any other iem I've ever owned. It's an incredible difference without amp. I'm just so shocked at how coherent these sound. It's really incredible.

I haven't gotten to try either of mine with vintage gear yet but i can confirm it's heavenly with the Project Polaris. you dont even need EQ to make it thump (though it does!)

On a site where a lot of folks seem to know a lot of stuff they clearly missed this.
Bass with an amp is a given. Leave that bass up and play some Pink Floyd or some classic rock and it's very impressive. stage, detail...16mm tuned just right. I like the sound better than the 3 way hybrid sony H1,2,3 A1,2,3....those are dynamic and BA
