are there any differnce between TFZ No3 and TFZ No.3 19th?
Only the shell is different, inside and tuning is the same. The treble is ok for me, pronounced but not really an issue.

Yes the S12 has a nice bass, very firm, possibly sub-bass. Nevertheless it does not become a classic basshead, it lacks a part of madness, of amplitude. Because .. thanks to this superbly firm hold. This will be a special, very clean bassehead.

A bit like the Oracle (even more difficult to make "free"), its bass drops as low as necessary but held. The Tri i3 will be much crazier and more driving for a classic bassehead. That said, the S12 holds equalizations very well, that's exactly right!

Plans membranes are excellent in this exercise! superior to many of the dynamics, as distortion is almost nil, especially on the S12.

NB: the i3 is one of the exceptions, its 8mm bass holds admirably +10db without flinching! your amp may clip eventually but not the HP!

Another little-known bassehead, the Hifiman RE 800 S, be careful not the simple 800 (in gold). This small IEM is a 6.5mm with circular patterns on the carbon, to counter distortions, such pattern for such frequency, etc. The rendering of the bass is indeed exceptional, the best is to put foams, the various silicones do not close well here in my opinion, according to my practice.

The basses are heavy, very heavy, very powerful, it takes your guts out! As doctor Fang, engineer creator of Hifiman, claims, the distortions are nil, it's clean, precise, clear and strong, you can raise the extreme bass or others, as desired. As with the small 8mm of the i3, adding 5db, 10db, are possible *. It is however firmer, harder, more precise than the i3.

Anyway, with this RE-800S (Silver) there are already so many bass that we are already satisfied as it is. It's the one I listen to with ELECTRONICA 1 & 2 by Jean-Michel Jarre! 👍 It sends heavy 🔥😁🤗

* PS: to believe that these little speakers better control piston movements, for the extreme bass!

Does anyone happen to know what posts in here have more complete lists? I don't want to look through 800 pages, honestly. I'm sorry.

This thread goes back to early 2014 so a most of the earlier posts are about IEMs that aren't available anymore, or have been outclassed by more recent models. Things alter pretty fast with ChiFi. Working back from recent posts is most useful. Bass-head also covers a multitude of sins. Do you like quick accurate bass or big thumping bass? Then there is the rest of the tuning. Are you sensitive to treble? What type of music do you listen to? Classic rock, EDM and metal all have different requirements to sound best. Lastly what is your budget? No point suggesting cheap options if you are looking to spend $500 (and vice versa).

TL DR; if you make your question more specific, people here will usually help :L3000:

Fair ^^ was not sure what was best.

Budget $300-500, I listen to metal, classical, orchestral, mainly.
I prefer a heavy thump, I'm sensitive to sibilance and peaks in the highs.

I would prefer something available here in the UK and not import from china, may also take stuff in the US, more than happy to go used here on headfi or ebay.

Exactly what I am looking for either. I heard the Empire Ears Bravado II could be something like that. but for 700 $.

Can’t wait for the latest recommendations. Right now I am owning Fiio FH3, 7hz Timeless and IKKO OH10. Would love to upgrade.

I don't have anything above $200. Look at the TRI I3Pro, bass is a bit loose, but really a fun listen with very nice mids and non-fatiguing treble. Tangzu Zetian Wu and Audiosense AQ4 have good bass but probably not "bass-head" level. Both very versatile, warm and not hot in the treble. :L3000:

Edit: for way less consider Tipsy TTROMSO only $89 but mid-bass done really well!

most basshead IEM I have is the IMR Dark Matter. It has more bass and hits lower than even my Sony IER-Z1R.
