If ever a bass-head is on a tight budget, try the Sony Ex700lp . New ones are listed under $80 for sale. They kick both the 7550 with the tape mod or the Z5 in raw subbass. One of the most underrated IEMs. Posting this while doing a b2b testing between all the Sony IEMs I got.

Listening to Mark Ronson - Uptown funk 88.2khz/24bit the Ex700lp eartips vibrate.

Ps: My Ex700lp have over 500 hrs or so.. on them

Are there any Bluetooth basshead iems I should be in the market for?

I'm just wanting BT for ease of use at the gym. I'm currently running a pair of Sony wi-1000x, but without amping I'm feeling there quite restricted.. Not really sure how I can overcome not having a dac/amp combo with BT headphones!

I haven't yet found a BT basshead IEM but I'm really tempted to buy these from Japan since Amazon finally offers global shipping vs using a buyee type service. They look really ideal for bass and wireless, plus JVC makes excellent gear, if only they offered such good stuff in the USA. If I end up ordering I'll let you know how they are!

Only thing is I wish it was just a cable vs the neckband type.

For wireless I have been really happy with the Vmoda Crossfade 2 Wireless (rose gold with aptX) for portable headphones. I miss the headphones jack SO much on the pixel 2 XL but the dongle is surprisingly good with the DAC built in.

I also did buy the MEE BT mmcx cable to use my IEMs and it's good, especially for the price! HBB mentioned it on YouTube.

Finally got a 4.4mm equipped dap (Sony zx300). Haven't listened to the 7550 for a long while. Not sure if it's the magic of the zx300 or the peterek cable but it sounds like it took the ol 7550 to the next level. The bass reminded me back in the days when I had a pair of JLAudio 12w8 subs in the trunk of the car. It was a bit too much (getting old I guess lol) so I widened the pin hole on the tape mod a bit to let it breath more. Hearing these again reminded me why I kept them and sold the Vega. The Vega's bass was good but felt it wasn't up to par as the 7550.
