I agree, paying for the name more than for the product is why i dislike Apple.

this might work 2 pin, straight, and there are more choices in that web.

but it seems like all orders has to be made by phone and I'm not sure if they sell 1 or 2 pairs only.

Can we buy the plugs without the wires?
Yes, however we recommend that you buy a complete system to get the full benefit of our proprietary soldering and overmolding and to insure the right fit for your application.

I'm not sure, but it feels like HD25-1 lacks a little speed versus 25SP.  =(
Not that I'm not loving 25-1 or anything.  I'm tired of IEMs lately and HD25-1 is a fun and satisfying alternative.  7509HD is too big and clunky and not as isolating.

more like medical devices conector, but we would need the plug only, which they sell. a group buy would be useful.

I'm sure lots of people would want them.

I like how neutral these sound and appreciate how wide sound stage for a portable headphone, but I think treble could be controlled for more clarity, and bass could be done better.  I may be asking too much from a portable headphone.

soundstage? The HD25 pretty much has no soundstage to speak of.

I wouldn't quite go that far.
They do have an okay soundstage, I think.

I think Aflac misread my comment.  It states that it has a wide sound stage for a portable headphones.  It has the widest sound stage out of anything portable headphones that I've owned.

Pretty good depth, too.  At least, out of my M-Stage.

I find the soundstage to be much alike the SR grados, maybe a tip more. still a hell of a portable.

Anyone else here pairing it with the mini3? I swear this have enough bass for me and sometimes i even think if it isnt too much. in bassy songs of course, I like the fact that HD25 doesnt put bass where there isnt, much unlike the XB700, that is crazy.

My Minibox-E+ and M-Stage give HD25 more clarity and control, as well as make it smoother and cleaner. So nice.
Hd25's soundstage isn't 2D enough to compare to SR325, yet not enough height either.

velour?

I got new pleather pads (Sennheiser brand), but I want to try the velour pads. The new pleather pads seem to make the HD 25 sound slightly more boomy than with the original pads I replaced - the HD 25 bass impact is still great, but I'd prefer a less boomy sound. I wonder if the velour pads reduce the HD 25's boom... Have you tried the HD 25 with velour pads?

I got the replacement pleather pads because the old ones were tearing slightly. I also ordered a new headband pad for the same reason and it's a different size from the original that came with the HD 25, so I'll probably order another headband pad and velour pads. :)

Are the drivers supposed to have a mildly loose fit in the cups?
