AKG K550 or Audio Technica ATH-A900X, not as bassy as the DT770, but better over all sound, and they are closed.
And are easier to drive then the DT770 Pro 80-Ohm.

But if someone likes Beyerdynamic sound... If there were no Beyerdynamic DT series phones I would use headphones only if I couldn't use speakers.

I'm wondering if the 32 250 600 ohm difference is only the impedance of the phones.
I mean if I use a resistor adaptor, will it perform like it is a different model?

use 218ohm adapter on 32 model will make it sound like the 250ohm version?

using 350ohm adaptor on 250 model will make it sound like the 600ohm version?

No, not at all.

Beyer tells us that the 600 ohm drivers are a lighter and therefore more responsive to the input from your amp.
Hence , they claim the 600 ohm drivers are a bit better than the lower impedance drivers.
Note that the 600 ohm drivers require more voltage than the 32 & 250 ohm drivers and are best driven from a good desktop headphone amp.

thanks

I was reading how ER-4p can use an adaptor to sound like ER-4s and was hoping if it can do the same
with the Beyers.
But it looks like they are constructed differently. It will still be interesting to know what changes
it will make with different resistor adaptors though. Maybe I'll make an adaptor for fun and try.

But from DT770 Pro 250ohm,DT770 Pro 80ohm , DT990 Pro 250ohm which one is best?
Thanks

DT770 Pro 80-Ohm is better for portables.
I like the sound of the DT770 Pro 250-Ohm a little better, but needs a decent amplifier to sound it's best.
If you do not need to block noise, then the DT990 Pro 250-Ohm is the best choice, but still needs a decent amplifier.
The DT990 has that "movie theater" like sound.

Hi all,

Just got off the phone with Peter Carini of beyerdynamic USA and I'll have my T70 review unit soon to try out. I think maybe later this week. Also I will probably go meet him at the airshow in Oshkosh. Can't wait!

Ok, I have now the T1, besides dt880 (250), driven by a WA3.

I know it's just a entry level tube amp, but it sounds amazing with T1, even with stock tubes (tomorrow I'm gonna do an upgrade).

I got no use for the 880 now. I can't hear it anymore.

In just one sentence: I'm rediscovering all my music collection. I'm wondering what a better dac can do (mine is a icon hdp).

Beyer T1 is just phenomenal.

Soundstage changes between DT990 Pro 250 and DT990 Premium? Is it worth the 100€ upgrade?

I will be solely using them for games and movies and expect both of them (but more the premium) to shine with great soundstage (depth/width), atmospheric sound with very deep going sub bass (the one that can create or support atmosphere well).

What source(s) (or amps) are you going to get plugging the headphones into?
