And they've arrived.
EDIT: Out of my 3 previously owned headphones--these are the 4th and...
Out of my 4 PS1000 headphones ...only my 2nd BNIB--and they are absolutely gorgeous.
The chrome finish is exceptional as is the cable which is without any kinks whatsoever. After some burn in and listening for a day or two--I'll be doing minor modification which only include adding the 1/8" O-rings and shaft collars for desired height adjustment--and then terminating them to 4-pin XLR since my chain is fully balanced.

EDIT: Had to strike through my first couple of words being I made it sound like I currently own 4 PS1000 headphones--which I do not--I currently only own these.

Flex / twist the cable along its length for a minute or two before each 'session'; be patient; the cable will soften.
I feel like I’m sitting down for knitting now
But yes, it seems to slowly get a bit better. Thank you for your encouraging words.

Just got my new NYCZAJ "Comfort Bundle" - padded headband with metal gimbals and rod-blocks. My PS500e was forever sliding out of position on the rods. It's infuriating that the Grado stock setup does not allow for tightening the rod-blocks. Anyway, the soft padding is a nice addition and so far they are very comfortable, and the rods are staying where I want them. (Earpads are from Beautiful Audio.) Bobbing my head freely to a rocking Soukous playlist with no fear of the gimbals slipping!

I *knew* this was an additional PS1000 for you, but I thought you might have regretted selling yours, so getting a replacement. I had no idea you were boarding four pairs! 🤢

Grado should revise those rodblocks.

Yup--this is my 4th PS1000. I definitely regretting selling them each and every time. Funny thing is--each of them sounded different and mostly regretted selling my 2nd pair which is why I bought the 3rd--but they didn't stack uo to my 2nd pair so I sold them. This pair is already stacking up to my 2nd pair without burn in--they're very balanced with beautiful mids. These are right up there with any TOTL headphone I've experienced in their own ways, just like all TOTL headphones.

I am planning to use the "special" headband (from the GS3000x listing that I bought) for the heavy Ps2000e.
