What would you think ? Would there be much difference between the orig Sr325. ( not , I, not , E, ) compared to the Gold Sr325i. Or pretty much the same ? Thanks in advance . Mart.
Real fan!Garmin Hemp!

I heard the 325x again, sound a little darker and thicker than I remembered, not as clear as I remembered. Certainly a versatile pleasing sound.anyone compared the 325x with GH2? Would be really nice to see a comparison

I bought next Grado's - Alessandro MS1x - new version. I hope to be able to compare them with my friend's 80x soon.
At this time I compared them with my Hemp
This is translate my polish review of this:
The first impression is excellent. As it's an X series, there's no need for a long burn-in time, and the bass is there right out of the box. After a few hours, they burned in a bit, and I had to lower the volume a bit. They sound really good, and they surprised me. I also compared them to the Hemps. Here, you can hear the difference, especially when you put on Alessandro after the Hemps. To be fair, I also put on flats on the MS1x. The difference? Hemps have more space, a more saturated and detailed sound, a fatter and better bass. These aren't astronomical differences, but when I put on Alessandro after Hemps, I felt like it was a leaner sound. Of course, without direct comparison, I can't fault these headphones; they sound great, and you can listen to them for hours. They perform very well in their intended role - headphones that were meant to be 'relaxing,' for listening to music in the background, without delving into details.

of interest:
I knew he already didn't like Grados, but as the video started, I thought "maybe he'll like the lower priced line"... For the money, I still think the SR line is great - the review inspired me to reach for my old pair of 125e's

Streaming into my SR225X's and I'm not complaining. Amazon HD> Modi Multibit2> Loki Mini+> Emotiva BasX A-100> 225X's.

I went to the shop to pick up the Harmony earpads for my Susvara. Whilst there, I thought why not audition some headphones. So I ask to audition Caldera with Auris Nirvana and Chord Hugo TT2 and Mscalar. Damm Caldera sounded great. More meat and body than my Susvara.
Then I ask to audition Grado 325x and I plug it into the same amp and dac combination. It was a moment of - You can't be serious ! The energy, clarity and impact charged through my body and Dire Straits is revitalized again.
So Caldera was forgotten as I became immersed in Grado sound. I tried 325e, RS1x but it's the 325x that I come back to always. There's presence ! Mid range will send shivers down your spine and that treble. It's like honey.
So I went home with the 325x and paid AUD$399 for it and the Harmony pads cost me AUD$199.... that's outrageous.
The equipment when I was having an afternoon of fun.

Did you try it from the Auris Euterpe there. Would be interesting to know the synergy between Euterpe and Grado as a more affordable option.I went to the shop to pick up the Harmony earpads for my Susvara. No I did not because Nirvana driving 325x is so good.... I knew then it will sound just as good with my own amp Odyssey.

My belief is that Grado will love tube amps and this reviewer share the same thoughts.
