Aesthetics. The metallic 325e looks better with a silver amp while the chocolate RS2e looks better with a black or dark blue so instead of reducing headphones you could add an ampI fellow grado fans!
I have just recently got the rs2e's (loving it) and have put my sr325e's up for sale on classified.
Give me some good reasons to hold on to both. I want to. Just need to justify it.

transform the SR325e to an SR325x for more variety of sound, refined to my ear especially at the price.I fellow grado fans!

Just wanted to show off my lovely Russels, love them to bits. The sound is about the same as rs2e if my memory serves me right, with a little tighter bass.

Another one I love, sr100 with Blackstar drivers. I have swapped the pads with ttvj deluxe, to get them close to original. The sound is unlike any other Grados I have listened to, the notes have more weight, if that makes any sense. They are also less sparkly up top, but everything sounds clear.
