You will get used to the F pads. After some time they don’t bother anymore.
Unlikely. I've been wearing them a lot, and they hurt. I have what I think is a pretty high threshold of pain -- I had two tears in my meniscus and a Baker's cyst in my knee for 3.5 years before I got it fixed and once finished a soccer game after I broke both bones in my lower arm during that match -- but this is pretty damn annoying. I have odd cartilage protruding from near the top of my right ear that's problematic with a lot of headphones.

Thanks.

Looks like I will be ordering a new set of driver :sob:
I can not find a direct 325x driver was thinking of the PS1000e drivers with metal case
Unless any one can suggest a better driver
Why don't you reach out to Grado to see if they can help you out?

I can't stand the L pads for more than an hour either...but the covers fix that problem. You should really try the Jarmor covers if you like how the 325 sounds with the F pads.

I received the Grado X series 12 conductor extension cable yesterday. I am getting microphonics. I gently lay the cable out straight in an attempt to remove the stress on the jacket and wire. It improves it but I still get intermittent microphonics. Perhaps I have a lot of static electricity in my room or the surfaces the wire is sitting on. Any advice?

Strange...I do not percieve anything like that.

You could try a anti static polish on the cable and clean the connections with something like deoxit or another electrical contact cleaner?

Thanks for that tip. The abrasion isn't the problem -- the clamping force and pressure on that protruding cartilage are.

I make it sound like I have Spock ears. I don't. Just a very small, weird anatomical quirk.

For me it was my right ear. Even when I loosened the headband it was still very painful after a few hours.

I tried a pair like that at a job last year. It was the weirdest feeling! Like I was off balance. :relaxed:
