I'm thinking the Hemps or RS2X's later this year. I've gone back about two years with this thread and when the X series came out, I was interested in the comments. You really have me itchy to pull the trigger on something. My SR225X's have me thinking that I'm missing something by not stepping up. I must stay calm and carry on though. I can't justify a fifth pair of headphones yet.
Nyczaj (fka Shipibo) will noticeably pump up the bass.
The recommended cushions are try all of them and see what you like best
Not actually but try some different ones for yourself if you're curious. There are a lot of different choices and all of them have their fans. About the only consensus you'll find is that the stock pads are always good

I went with the RS2x, because by many reports the Hemp is similar to the SR325x, so for me the RS2x slots in well with my GS1000, SR325x, and SR60e.
I find that the RS2x is so easy to put on and play... it plays well with both of my solid state amps and really great with jazz, blues, ...and rock... until I plug in the SR325x.
Yeah, I don't think any Grado rocks as hard as the SR325x... Stones, AC/DC, Who, Black Sabbath
I went from the 80x to 325x and was super super happy. The bass will hit hard for sure, and presence and weight. Super fun headphone. Impossible not be impressed.
This is so true, even with solid-state, maybe. Sometimes I think it's unfair to say that the RS2x lacks bass. Listening via iFi Zen Dac without TrueBass turned on, yes, bass is often lacking. But at the same time, the rawest textures and direct on the face are really cool. With TrueBass turned on it has a lot of bass, with Power Match turned on it gets even more aggressive. And by the same Zen Dac just as a DAC via the Cambridge AXA35 preamp it's very warm with plenty of bass - I even miss the caracteristic of it very lean with the Zen Dac with everything turn off. So, yes, the rest of the system have big influence on those things. Btw, I fell the RS2x is still developing 100h and beyond, more looser, effortless and enjoyable. And the 325x or 80x with that same TrueBass on gets exaggerated bass etc. Anyway, lots of different fun to have.
Man... I started out tonight "testing" the RS2x and GS1000 so I could comment earlier... than put on the SR325x with Exile on Main Street... could. not. stop. listening.
