Hey all,
 
So my old Shure E3c's are on their way out. About time, since I've had them for about six years. I see that things have heated up since then. I've been reading as much as I can, but was hoping someone could give some personal recommendations to get me started on some more focused research.
 
I'm looking for an excellent IEM, hopefully better than my old Shures. I'm willing to pay $200 or more if need be. I generally like a bit of warmth in the sound, but something faithful to the source. Will mostly be used with my iPhone.
 
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hmm, I'm tempted by this, but how well do these hold up? Are they somewhat damage-proof?

I had mine for 3 years without issue then I got them reshelled into customs by fisher.

I'm also looking for a new IEM to replace my E3c. I've narrowed it down to a Shure SE425 or the IE7 or IE8.  I saw that in your list there is also an IE8. How would you compare the IE7 to the IE8 and what makes you advising an IE7 instead of an IE8?
