Hi I'm pretty sure that it is not real leather and to date I have had no problem with peeling.Owners of the D8000/Pro, is the headband real leather? Any problems with peeling?
Cheers

Managed to do the ear pad swap for the D8000. The YT videos were very helpful indeed.
Spotted Final D8000 Pro Limited Edition
Source: https://www.phileweb.com/news/audio/202205/22/23348.html
final announced the "D8000 Pro Limited Edition", which is a limited version of the flagship plane magnetic field type headphones "D8000", and the completely wireless earphone "ZE8000" (black and white are available).
The feature of "D8000 Pro Limited Edition" is that the inside of the ear cup is gold-plated and the ear pad is made of "Washi". It is said that the basic tuning has not been changed, but there is a difference in sound quality due to the difference in the material of the ear pad, and the impression that it becomes a more relaxed and lively sound. "Since the material is Japanese paper, it will become more familiar to your ears and become more familiar as you use it," he said.

Those are beautiful. New pads maybe? I have noticed that the material looks slightly different from the G pads that come with the regular pro.

Thanks! Missed that. That's really interesting. Wish they offer the pads to buy it separately, but I highly doubt it, as they are a limited edition.Two posts above is a link describing the differences

I wonder what "a more relaxed and lively sound" means: specifically, the Pro's "G" pads (which I use on my D8000 to great effect) vs these new "washi" paper pads...More relaxed and lively = tube amplification LOL
More info abt D8000 Pro Limited. According to Fonnex, it will be limited to 100, .the price would be around 4 300 euro.

Hi;
Apologies if this has been covered before. My Sony WM1Z doesn't quite have enough oomph for these. What portable solutions are folks enjoying with the D8000?
Thanks

I'm really excited to join the D8k family soon. I just bought a used pair of D8k and they should arrive start of next week .
I can't wait to hear what these will bring to the table. I'm very happy with my ZMF Atrium & VC but I somehow felt, that I also needed a planar headphone in my collection again since I recently sold my Hifiman Arya because they didn't match my sound preference in the end (not enganging enough and sibilant treble). I hope this will change with the D8k. Looking forward to experience the bass everyone is raving about.
Looking forward to try them on different amps. I have an Auris Euterpe and Cayin HA-1A MK2 for tubes and currently a Singxer SA-1. But the Singxer is going to be replaced very soon with a Zähl HM1 - which is also a reason why I was looking for a planar again since I want to see what this amp can do on dynamics and planars.
I'll report back once I receive them
