Great song for Roland:

Well since I'm getting Roland, beater should be as budget as possible. KZ ZS10 pro came to mind. That kind of cheap
But they have to be really comfortable because I oftenly fall asleep listening to music. But not as small as Tin Hifi P1, due to their size P1 kept falling out of my ears, aside that I hated their sound signature.

Only use the Copper cable. anything silver, even a hybrid (copper/silver) or plated will be harsh. Burn the iem in with high volume EDM, and get some spiral dots, a size smaller than you usually wear.
This iem does female vocals exceptionally well, so don't let the price fool you, they hold up against other TOTL's very well. Don't know how they will do against the Shure Electrostats, but you might just be surprised.

im a driver believer. Planar is faster than DD and it can be BAs too. By faster here is detail on tracks when a lot of things playing at the same time. Since i have isine20, i know how planar handles it. This is quite tempting when the midbass happens to be fast so it doesnt get bloated to vocals. This is getting harder.

I've had both the isine20 and have CL2. Just make sure you give the CL2 lots of burn in and feed it plenty of power. It's a freaking steal for $500. Much more powerful bass and much faster than the isine20 and without most of the idiosyncracies but with the same planar timbre.

I have been listening to the CL2 non stop for the last 4weeks, so much so that my full size speaker system is getting ignored. They are very good, once you get the tips and cable sorted out, you should be good to go.

i can't read all of this but just a note on ESTs and vocals

high C—like, soprano, very high, you don't go much higher than this C—is just at 1kHz. i can't find the sonion spec sheet for their ESTs, but i do doubt that they're taking care of anything that low, let alone lower.

@Hawaiibadboy how would you say the Roland's signature compares to the it04. You've unboxed them, and I consider them to be sort of a reference "audiophile" tuning without that's not really harmanesque but based on.... Audiophile stereo types I guess? Similar but technically superior? Or different in many ways?

@Owludio I am using right now budget iems to listen to that music like zhiyin z5000 ( heavily eqed) and jbl t205 of alumni streets it works well
