I'm sure they have been at that price for a long time. The HD6000 used to be about £210, but have recently gone up to £300. I guess this is due to the new hd5xx range coming out and Sennheiser not wanting to sell the 599 for more than the 600.

At £209 the HD599 is well overpriced. About 150% of its actual worth maybe even double when you look at what the HD598 was selling for in the end. When that headphones price becomes realistic it will have a knock effect on HD600s price which will come down again hopefully.
