sorry I mean in SZ

That is a sales and logistics office; it's not really open to the public. There are plenty of shops in Shenzhen you can visit to listen, however.

Hm- what do you mean by ‘handling’?

If you mean the physical fit- Despite the extra weight of the Hulk it’s very very comfortable.

I’ve tried the following with the 17’s:
-Stock Cable (Dunu Chord) - tied with Noble for favorite as it’s so light. The connectors are straight though (I prefer the curved ones on Noble).

-DK-4001 Cable (Dunu Noble) - tied with Chord for the 17th anniversary iem. My favorite cable so far. It fits better on my ears than the Chord due to the curved portion of the mmcx cable that plugs into the IEMs. The additional shielding is great. Very very quiet. It (barely) weighs more than the Chord, but the difference is noticeable if you have both and compare side by side I guess. Hence my lean back to the Chord for the 17th. : ). Both are awesome though.

-Dunu Hulk - Hulk + the 17th is going to be a personal preference thing, but I think it accentuates the existing tonality/sound signature of the 17th even more. (And more mid-rangey emphasis?) I like it at night before bed when I just want everything to sound nice and smooth and don’t want to worry about a badly recorded song messing with stuff. I don’t know if I’d pair it with the 17th all the time though (too much of a good thing, if that makes sense?)

That being said It’s also very comfortable, even with the additional weight.

@recca - you know what- after more listening, I’m actually not sure what I wrote actually - and accurately - captures the Hulk cable. I think I underestimated it. I don’t know. PM me and I’ll send it to you for a week or two to try out if you want. Interested to hear your thoughts.

Hi,
can anyone compare 4001 to CA Vega ?

I was tempted to get the Vega myself, I've managed to resist that temptation so far. I do have the DK-4001 though and do like it, but I can't get it to work/fit for me with anything else long term other than Large Comply Foam tips. Not sure if that may be a consideration for you or not.

Yes, i heard that many people have problem with seal.
After I post my question, i get a opportunity to borrow 4001 for a session. So i'll try on myself seal problems and i'll check the similarieties or differences between this both iems.

The comply L tips with the DK4001 provide some crazy good imaging for me and I totally get what you mean - for my huge ear canal, it’s usually the best bet.

If you haven’t tried already, you might want to give the largest size Sedna EarFit tips (and for me specifically, for me, Sedna earfitLight tips) and maybe see if those help.

The supplied Dunu large silicone clear tips also provide a decent seal too.

Lemme know if you still have trouble, I have a ton of tips here to help ya if you need.

100% agree, the sound with Comply tips is amazing. The foam tips seal very well and lift the bass up just enough. A shallow insertion depth with the 4001 gives me a sound like I have a pair of Wilson Audio Wamm Master Chronosonic speakers in the room (well maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, they are £700,000 for the pair :) )

My in-depth review about DK-4001 and Hulk is live now! :)

I found DK-4001 to have an exceptional, unique sound, something that very few IEMs go for, a soft, mellow, yet neutral-ish sound, one that doesn't attack you with anything, but still manages to reveal beauty in music

I saw someone compared the sound of dk4001 and Fh7 but not very clear. Can anyone do a full comparison? I have fh7, very good and aggressive sound but I feel it’s not comfortable for long lítening as it’s a bit harsh and fatiguing. I guess because its treble is not very well controlled? Will dk 4001 fix that?

Finally picked up the Noble cable (2-pin); looking forward to trying it out this weekend with my IEMs.

Enjoy! We should really have a thread dedicated to our modular plug system cables --- will get on that soon!

Can anyone tell me how these perform with prog rock/prog metal? For example BTBAM, Caligulas horse, porcupine tree, karnivool etc. I saw multiple stating bass was in the same league as the sony ex1k which i own and adore, so it peaked my interest.
