Swapping out the JH16 eh? Haha I heard from Cripple1. Congrats on the trade!
Traded with another Headfier for JH16 + cash. Now I'm thinking about selling my D2000
Congrats bud. Stock? Modded?
Inquiring minds and all..........

It's actually fully Lawton modded, but everything else is stock.

Not related to this post, but I just received these pads --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/261349307920?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=560254102182&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
In an earlier post iirc you said these were near identical in sound to Lawton angle pads, but they're about as thick as the stock pads just a little denser. The Lawton pads look much thicker though, so I'd think having the drivers farther away from the ears would make them sound much different. Is it the foam density?
I'll check again when I get home but I thought the thickness was the same as the Lawton pads on my D7000.

Thanks. Either way I like the more than the stock pads. The denser foam + foam pad mod creates a much better seal.
I think I'm gonna follow suit with Oregonian and keep my MD2000
. I'm actually amazed how close it is to the D7000. I could honestly own either can and be happy..but since I have this audiophile illness I think I'll have both...I'd almost like to sell my LCD-2 for an HE6 and I think my trio would be complete..
A good plan you have..........my HE-6 fed off speaker taps direct sounds incredible. Best sounding headphone I've heard. Period. And the bass........oh man, you gents have got to experience the HE-6 bass fed right just once in your lifetime. It's that good.

I may chase down an HE-6 used at a later stage after that comment.

Recently picked up an HE-6 off the classifieds here. Can confirm (I use speaker taps as well). Haven't thought about buying any headphones and honestly can't ever foresee getting the "upgrade bug" again. Definitely endgame material without a doubt.
