Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

I wish I would have let my D2000's burn in past the 200 hours... the bass made them unlistenable for me. Everything else was great though!

I'm really interested in hearing a Denon, but all from what i've read. Never tried, but it's definitely in my next buys list ...

Out of the several dozens of headphones I have owned over the years (and several thousands of dollars I have spent on them), the D2000s and the D5000s (markl moded) remain after all of the smoke cleared. To this date, they are my favorite all around phones especially when a price/performance ratio is considered. So yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say I like them, a lot.

The MD5000 is still the best dynamic headphone I have heard to date.

Girlfriend likes them so much that I have head time only after she goes to bed!

I very much appreciate my MD5000s. When combined with an iMod, Pico, and a bunch of CDs, my time at work is a pleasure!

And they're really turning out to be great headphones to mix on too! Their combination of detail, extension, imaging, and tonal accuracy is really serving me well.

The bass does tighten up considerably..

I am sending my D2000's in for a full markl mod tomorrow. I can't wait to have them back!

except at classical.

And classical is what I hardly listen to, which makes my wallet fatter at the end of the day. (Except when I keep drooling at the thought of D5000s on my head

I love the sound of drum kicks with the D2000s. They sound more full of life than say with the HD-650s.

Absolutely: Sign me up for any D5000 appreciation thread! Phenomenal headphones!

Never heard the Markl-modded D5000. Hopefully will some day -- but only if they don't attenuate the bass one bit. Any objection to these phones' bass output is way beyond my comprehension. Listen up, Denon, as you tweak that D7000!

Cheers,

An image of the D5000s on top of my head haunt me every night I sleep....just playing! Someday, someday.
