Good to know . One final question do you think my tv or any modern tvs can output the full 192khz or are they always limited to 48. The smart tvs have spotify apps built in and such similar apps. My plan is to use this dac mostly for the sounds when watching tv, anyway i am curious.
Spotify is lossy 16/44.1 PCM and no where near 192. Tidal is also 16/44.1, but can stream lossless CD quality. The differentiator between the two is the codec - lossy vs lossless - and the bit rate, not to be confused with the bit depth. Streaming audio will be 44.1 (not going to get in to a discussion about MQA). I'm not sure if the TV is re-sampling everything to 48kHz or not. Dolby Digital and DTS are also lossy codecs.
Honestly, as Elviscaprice mentioned, if using the TV to output the audio then the limiting factor is the streaming apps, the TV, or the source music/movie. At the end of the day I wouldn't worry as the Hugo would still sound great. 48kHz vs 192kHz will yield a minor, if any, audible difference from the TV and I'm pretty sure you won't find consumer content that streams from the TV at 96/192kHz or discs with 96/192kHz content. My advice, don't worry about it at all.
I'll also just mention that the mix/mastering/production of audio has a far greater impact on the quality you hear vs any increase in sampling rate, and the Hugo upsamples everything internally anyway to a far greater amount with better quality than any TV and most other audio gear can do.
