wow, the customized design looks very good
Finally received my DM6's from A&V yesterday and I remember hearing that somebodies wasn't packaged very well. I must say mine came in perfect condition (think they were sent directly from BGVP), but didn't come with the requested cable (straight pin).
My initial reaction was above average, I had been listening to the TRN V80's which have a bit more of a fun character, so the clinical sound took a little getting used to. The immediate thought was that the bass was severely lacking. I was playing through a Fiio BTR1 from my iPhone with the supplied grey/silver cable.
After getting them home changing cables to a Pure Copper Balanced cable and playing on my Fiio X5 MkIII, much much more satisfying sound, bass is not lacking whatsoever. I usually have issues with iems, constantly slipping out of my ears, but these seem to fit like a glove!! I still feel like I need to find the perfect tips though. Using the initially mounted medium tips, I get a very good insertion, but I do notice a quite significant sound difference if I hold them in place in my ears with my fingers. It must only be a millimeter depth difference, but the change in sound is so noticeable.
I just wanted the clear pair, but when I ordered they were no longer an option. So I had to go custom, made only a subtle change of blue and red description coding on the iems (quick and dirty phone pics).
All in all, money well spent in my eyes...

Happy to hear that already received it from A/v. For mine is still long way. It looks packed quite good should say. Nice to hear that finaly bass is not lacking as it's full armature iem. You can try to order symbio tips to try as it is good quality and izolation with silicone and foam combo. These will be first that i will try when receive mine.
It came with this cable but with the right angle termination, I wanted the straight one. I'm now using this cable as I wanted a balanced cable on the cheap.
Funny you should say try the Symbios, I had bought a set of Mediums a while back and have been moaning that they fit smaller than usual Mediums. Hearing in here that tips seem to run a bit bigger on the DM6's I've just put the Symbios on and they are giving me a really good fit!!
Do you have symbio w with foam or peled version without? So medim size fit well right? Usually medium size tips is best for me also. Dont know about symbio as they have foam. I now have peled version so this medium fits my well.
I have the wide bore version with foam (can always take the foam out to make peeled). I like the foam as I feel I have funny shaped canals and not many tips stay stuck when put in.
Yes, I'm usually a medium as well. But on other iems, the Symbio medium weren't big enough and wouldn't hold in place. No such issues with them on the DM6.
I also got some JVC Spiral dots in M/L, which fit like a glove combined with the TRN V80's, not tried them on the DM6 yet, but I fear they will come up too big.
Just for interest sake I also feel like getting some Sony EP-TC50 and Spinfit CP145/CP500 tips for the collection
The cable in your link looks similar to this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/NIC...pm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.259.6c8f3c00TYMqmW. Don' t know why this brand have such different cables as they are basicaly the same. But as i understood your version fits Dm6 perfect?
Yeah, I'm not sure what the differences are as they don't really publish the exact specs, but I just preferred the components used on the one I bought. As long as you get the MMCX version (in theory) you should have no problems.
Well, I have let them burn in over night and all the morning (20h) And I have to say that highs are much better right now xd

Has anyone tried dm6 on Hiby R6? Want to see if Hiby R6 10ohm output impedance changes the tonality of the dm6.

1. recomendation for proper copper cable please ?
2. what tips ? Symbio N or W ? or some other tip brand ?
3. my cowon plenue v has no ballanced output , only standard jack out , although it is great sounding player nonetheless . Does ballanced output improve sound on dm6 drastically ?

I received my DM6 last week and have to say a BIG thank you to @Hawaiibadboy, it was his honest opinion and no BS YouTube video that swayed me. I have a pair of £600 Earsonics Velvet Pro v2 and the DM6 has better mid/treble presence. This audio journey is slippery slope and the DM6 is remarkable value for money. The major players need to watch out and up their game.
