I heard some guy in massdrop discussion, saying he sold his Campfire Audio Andros because dm6 is way better... im not sure is whether thats true.... because i got plan buying it and also prevent me too since fiio fa7 soon be releasing...

I had a short bit of time with the TenHz P4 Pros today and immediately you can tell that they're not even in the same league as the BGVP DM6 or even the DMG. I don't have time to go into much detail, but here is a quick breakdown. The only thing going for the P4 Pro is the fit and the carrying case that comes with it. They fit in my ears perfectly, but lack isolation. The cable is lacking as well. The P4 Pro's bass lacks impact, the mids are recessed, and the highs lack detail in comparison to the DM6.

Overall Quality - DM6
Comfort - P4 Pro
Isolation - DM6
Cable - DM6

Overall Sound - DM6
Bass - DM6
Mids - DM6
Highs - DM6

This is exactly the kind of impressions that should be avoided... At least try to get a good seal before making any statement. The P4pros have the best isolation I have ever experienced by far (way much better than the DMG) .
And, with a good seal, they are incredible (to my ears) when compared to the DMG and the IT01.

It just depends on what sound your into. I’m almost afraid to say it but I may like the DM6 over the $500 Sony Z5 IEM. It’s too early to tell. Though it’s safe to say folks should try and live with the DM6 for awhile before rushing to sell off their gear. Some of the fun is a new signature, and I listen to the DM6 IEMs all the time, they are great.

I’ve never heard the Andromeda IEM, but from what I read it’s more midcentric. The guy basically preferred more bass. It’s a completely believable story. But it doesn’t mean it’s going to be the same story for everyone.

The FA7 has the same giant sub-woofer BA driver that the DM6 has, but that doesn’t mean the bass will be the same. It’s integration and tuning, crossovers and body resonance. The Magaosi K5 has the exact same driver as the new FiiO full BA flagship-FA7.......and the same bass BA as the DM6...........but the K5 is lacking in bass response. So it just depends on a multitude of things.

anyone here who thinks that the dm6 kinda sounds like an electrostat? I personally dont have much long exposure on e-stats but the highs and the quickness of the bass seems to convince me towards in thaf thinking.

I could be wrong though. Would like to hear from others on what they think.

This is exactly the comments you want to avoid. The comparison is to the DM6 specifically. Know your facts before you speak. I just stated that the DMG even sounds better to me, in my opinion. And notice that keyword “opinion”? Yeah, everyone has the right to one.

I haven't been able to test it, not sure I would be able to tell the difference, I just wanted a Balanced cable.

Bgvp are unable to manufacture the curent model dm6. People are waiting month and longer. In their place i should focus first on the completing what is not completed. Are you serious about dm6s?
