Beyers do not have a plug and play cable like senns, but there are plenty of pro aftermarket installers who will recable them for you if you're interested.

Mogami star quad cable seems to be (or was) a favored option for a while. I recall reading that S2 audio does a pretty reasonably priced recable with the mogami?

I had S2 audio recable my DT770's, and it made a big difference.

I've been using DT 770/80s for over 2 weeks now and love them. I was using Grados with my MKV and, to me, it just sounded horrible. The 770 makes that amp sound much better. I'm going to attach a filtered power cord to the MKV and see what improvement, if any, that makes.

I'm totally digging the DT770 2005 CE along with the Keces DA151 and LD MKIII. I enjoy it better than the HD600 on almost everything except Vocal Jazz.

Hoping to get a DT880 soon.

Happy new member of Team Silver Velour here, marveling at the new life my DT990-2005 gives to familiar (classical) recordings. Best $238 (open box unit from Amazon Warehouse Deals) I ever spent. I want to particularly note that many comments seem to underrate the midrange on these- voices sound remarkably good.

Source is an iPod Classic (160GB), running through one of Gary's PA2V2s, and I'm having an absolute blast with these cans.

My DT990'05 250ohm just above 700hours.

It really kick ass! sparkly highs, smooth & lush mid, real "natural "bass (just like speakers)

And a 3D-like vivid SoundImage & Huge HeadStage

Oh god! I really cant image how good the 600 Ohm ver. does....

I have a question about my 770/Pro 80s. When there is very deep bass I notice distortion. It doesn't happen every time there is bass just with certain deep bass parts in the music. When I listen again to the same bass parts with the volume turned down, the distortion disappears. Is this a defect or will this disappear with ample burn-in or do I need to get a 250 ohm version? I'm running them off the MKV.

EDIT: Then again I think it may be the amp. It just may not have the juice to give these beyer's the power needed for those deep bass moments these phones are capable of.

Beyers and Bela seem to me to be particularly good companions. Dt 880s are my first pair of good headphones, and the flecktones never sounded like this...I must head to the record store.
