Beyer Synergy Report:

Using:
Older Beyer DT-990 Pro, 250 ohms.
Older PiMETA v2 SS amp (with a regulated/filtered 12v power supply).
(from the famous auction site): ECC88 Tube Buffer..

This rig has (capitol T) Tremendous synergy with the DT-990's - when you use ECC804 tubes (B729 is equiv) in the Tube Buffer.

I mean....Wo Wo Wo....WOW

Reviving this thread but I have an 880 with 1 driver busted and I was planning to replace the drivers. My question is, will the drivers be mismatched if I choose to replace only 1 side instead of buying 2 new drivers?

Not an expert, and don't know your specifics, but I would say yes.....

I'm not certain, but i think it's a really good bet.

Many if not most of the better headphones point to their matched drivers as increasing SQ.
