It can be confusing, I have heard the same pair of ESW9 twice, approx. 18 months apart, I thought they sounded bassier the first time I heard them, and more balanced the second time.

Good, I don't know if I could live with a fake in the house. Kind of like a reminder.

Hey guys, going back to my last post, I'm actually really interested in getting my hands on some fake ESW9 to compare with the real ones arriving next week. Anybody can point me to where I can find them cheap

I'll say ebay.  If you see the price is low then most likely it will be a replica.

Anyone tried the velour ear pads from ebay yet? it's description seems to fit the esw9, saw it when I did a search for the esw9.

If you want a detailed description of the differences between the real ESW9 and the fake ESW10 I had, send me a PM.
The short answer is the fakes just do not sound as refined and smooth as the real ones.
But the build quality is pretty damn good.
I swear, a lot of the parts are real Audio Technica!

Ebay was indeed the first place i went but all i could find was in the $300 price range which is an awful lot to spend looking for fakes

Not understanding why you would want a fake esw9 when you can get a real one for less than 200 even 150 at times on ebay.
I have never seen esw9 or esw10 fakes on eBay, but I have only been looking for a year.
I have recently seen fake monster headphones tho..
I conceed it is interesting to see a fake esw10 I am wondering how shiny is the wood as I am going to spray polyurethane my esw9..
hey Chris can you post a pic?
