Yes, I should be clearer, I meant if there are any amplifier out there that can make the HD800 or LCD-3 scale higher than GS-X. Rest assured, none of us here is comparing amplifiers, except one, but you probably won't know who

Sorry, but this has been done many of times by many of members.  You just have to dig through the threads.  Comparing amps is not new. SMH...

Who cares which amp is better or not. Everyone just give each other a bear hug and get along.

All headphones sound good and have there respective sound differences compared to each other, as do everyone of us prefer headphone A over B vice versa.

It's all good. At least there are choices so purists can look down their collective long nose and pooh pooh everything other than their flavor du jour. it's all so subjective anyway. :D

Been listening to LCD-3 and gsx yesterday and today, and its the best ive heard. The soundstage is finally there too, they dont sound closed in or congested anymore, and the bass is very good

I'm not sure about this as I have no experience with the WA6SE/WA22, but this might be because your LCD-3s are finally getting enough juice.

WA6SE had 2W into them, getting 4W from unbalanced gsx right now, i dont think its power as much as gsx being better

Yeah pretty powerful, seemed to be a little lacking with LCD-3 though, like it was still a little too slow and missing coherency somewhat. But the LCD-2 is amazing with WA6-SE. LCD-3 scales higher so it felt like it was holding back, just a bit.
