You should try them with electronica, they rival the mighty CD3000 electronica goddess in that respect...

^ Agreed. The pads give electronica some nice bass slam. A nice amount that shines with music like The Prodigy.
For some music I like the warmer and more polite sounding DT880 better. Trentemoller sounds a lot better through my Beyers than it does through the Alessandro.
I think the MS1000 and DT880s compliment each other pretty good.

Yep, the Beyer for the slower stuff and the Alessandro for > 80 bpm.

just like to ask those here, what kind of adhesive do you use to attach your wooden distancers? its must be easily removable, so at 1st blue tac seems like a good choice but thing is, i can't seem to find it anywhere near where i am! so i'm asking around if there is any other alternative. planning to change the plastic cups to wooden ones a few months later so i will need to remove the wooden distancers then.

You can glue them with superglue on just 4 points and put some adhesive tape over the split between housing and distancer.
To remove it, you just need a box-cutter.

Make a better effort to find blue-tac, it is perfect for this application. You want something that doesn't leave any open holes (if you have holes already drilled in the distancer). I'm not sure where you live, but I found it at a Lowe's hardware store (am in the united states). I first had no idea really what blue tac was, and asked associates at the store about it and they had no idea, but I browsed around a bit and found this BlueStik near the caulk/glue products.

I used tape that has two adhesive sides to keep the distancers in place. Then after that I covered the distancer and the housing of the MS-1 with electrical tape. Just make sure you don't cover the breathing holes.

How I apply the distancers:

All the tools I used:

Cut off slices from your dual sided tape and attach them to the cup.

Trim off some excess tape. You will end up with this.

Now cover it with electrical tape.

Give the breathing holes their holes to breath back.

And finally, cut away the extra tape and you're finished!

One more MS1K I built for someone in the german forum. That thing desperately needs a leather pad or a Beyer pad IMO.
