I should be getting the package hopefully within the next 12 hours.

Nice! I really hope you like them. Be sure to let us know your impressions. Any plans on getting the X1s as well? Would love if someone compared X1s vs 65s.

Unfortunately, it was these or the X1. Because the X1 is still not sold directly in the USA, I went with the Annies. I will eventually get them once Amazon stocks them here, as I dont wanna get them and find out they don't fit my large noggin.

Yep Philips. I was thinking they might work when watching movies in living room. Probably not so great with music but they are almost dirt cheap nice looking headphones made of quality materials.

Try the T1.

Yeah I also think T1s are very balanced and silky sounding cans but they retail way overpriced IMO.

Philips Fidelio X1, not a cheap hps, $500 on ebay (from Hong Kong, probably made in China). On the bright side... those hps have a great specs, 50 mm Drivers, 10 - 40,000 Hz @ 30 Ohm, weight 750g. They looks like a sweet mix between RS1/1000 and the AKG K series. As well double angled  drivers and pads design.

Try the T1.

I've seen the treble spike, and people mentioning it has more treble than the DT880. I don't mind treble, but for my balanced can, I want LESS.

In my experience I didn't find the T1 to be balanced, or silky, compare to the K-702. The bass of the T1 can be okay for those who want more bass over the 702's. My main problem was with the T1 pike in the 10Khz area.

Well, I still think you should try them out and check for yourself. Even with the treble spike they're still a great hps, especially if you don't mind a bit more treble.

I don't doubt it. I love the Beyer sound (LOVE the DT990s), however, I'm moving away from them and going towards smoother sounding headphones. I don't have a place for the T1. I'm quite happy with my HE400 as my sparkly can.

I had some limited experience with the HE500, I still prefer the T1 over the HE500, especially if you into soundstage and bass.

Oh ok sorry misunderstanding on my part. I just assumed, from what you quoted, that you meant balance. For what I recall they sounded balanced. But then again I feel the same with anniversaries. The bass increase complements nicely the brightness of the 702.
