Thanks!!!Other than the weird look you will get from other pepeople, the Aeon is as fine as any portable full-size headphone.
The weird look might be bothersome for sure! People are gonna stare

Has anyone tried walking around with the Aeon headphones? I wanna try them out for commuting and travel.
Yes. I've used them at the airport and they work great. I replaced the cable for an Impact Audio Cable which helps with portability. Just got a couple looks but who cares?Has anyone tried walking around with the Aeon headphones? I wanna try them out for commuting and travel.

Just curious... how long does that take. Under two minutes I would guess. But you did go quality. Was it worth it?My only complaint is managing all the extra crap. Plug the cables into the headphones and then into the dac/amp. Three cables to get the dac/amp into my iPhone. Ugh. Bluetooth is simply turn on and listen.
Sometimes I just shake my head in wonder and ask myself "How lazy have we gotten? How demanding of instant gratification...and at what cost?"

Anyway, with a two to 12 hour flight in front of me, I always have found the time and energy to connect my cables...
(plenty of time)

I've gotten where I just take Bose QuietComfort 20 in-ear noise cancellers and use those - the sound is crap (compared to my Aeons and other "good" headphones driven by a good amplifier), but it takes me 10 seconds to plug-in and start listening and takes up close to zero space in my laptop case / luggage.
The quality was totally worth it, the significantly better sound quality made it easier to ignore my cramped legs.
Also I think you're misinterpreting the hassle I'm complaining about. The time factor is trivial, I agree. But when you're scrunched in the middle seat of an airplane in coach, every stupid little movement you do feels like an assault on your neighbors. I'm both tall and somewhat wide and flying already sucks enough without having to fuss around with cables for 5 minutes of tension (don't hit anyone!). Yes, I said 5 minutes because of how much extra time it takes trying to avoid elbowing and kicking my neighbors.
On the other hand, my Senn PCX 550's require minimal assaulting of neighbors and even feature a much smaller case. Still no comparison when it comes to sound quality and I'd do it again with Aeons in the future.
