That's exactly what I've done, still painful. Foam tips are the ones that are the most "comfortable" (an understatement with this earphones) and give me the most pain-tolerance of all tips, silicon included. It's really a shame, I'm gonna have to let these go, really like the sound signature.  ...

Didn't like it. I ordered the Atrios last summer and they kept me waiting more that 2 weeks 'cause according to them "they were waiting for my credit card bank approval". Weird. 1st time I've experienced something like that on a website. Won't be buying for them that's for sure.
