The audiogram compensation using an uncalibrated headphone should be accurate for your ears paired with that headphone. i.e. if the headphone is weak at a certain frequency you will likely have a harder time detecting it so it will show up as a weakness in your hearing and audiogram...

Yea, I can imagine that would be an issue. Since I only have the APM, it works well for me since it compensates for both my hearing as well as the APM's theoretical weaknesses. My graph is fairly flat but rolls off after 2khz and falls well down (50 dBHL) at 8khz.

Gotcha. But since I'm not using it to measure my hearing in general, but my hearing through that exact headphone, I'm not worried about it's absolute general accuracy. If it compensates for my hearing through those headphones, that's all I care about. And it seems to do a great job there.
