    Focal Listen Professional

Give them quite a bit of burn in from light listening. If you look at the reviews on Sweetwater (probably elsewhere too); a reviewer says a 3 week burn in was needed and now they are the best they have heard. Of course who knows what they have listened to before. I am unsure to the exact...

    Focal Listen Professional

Are the pads on the Listen Pros replaceable? I could not find online Focal replacement pads for the Listen Pro when doing a quick search. Would another brand of pads fit or is it a custom fitting? What would be the best way of cleaning the pads? Removal and a soak in warm water and a little...

    Portable amp on a budget - ~$100

I am in the UK and I got a Zero Audiocraft (opa2228) for my 50 ohm Senn 595s. I think it was $50 + ~$28 for insured delivery to the UK. If you want an amp with a bass boost, you should bid for a Practical Devices XM4 on the well known auction site as you should be able to get one delivered to...

    Hd595 And Amp

I am using the Zero Audiocraft (OPA228 option) with my 50 Ohms Senn 595s. The Practical Devices XM4 is also supposed to work well with the Senn 595s- it has a bass boost button and crossfeed. With both of these amps you have the ability of opamp rolling. So you can customise the sound...

    portable amps

I am using the Zero Audiocraft amp with the OPA2228 in it with my Senns HD595s (50 Ohms). This amp is extremely well built with good components and has no hiss at any volume. The only downside is it does not have a dc jack, but the battery life is supposed to be very good. It is sold on...

    Zero Audiocraft Review

I got the 2228 Op amp. version a few days ago to go with my Senns HD595s. There is no hiss whatsoever with the amp itself. I only noticed hiss on a couple of mp3s but I think that is down to the actual recording of those songs. There is a little click when I turn the volume off. Things...

    ~Portable Amps~

The Zero Audiocraft seems to be respected in the forum, although it is not discussed much. It is $49.99 plus shipping. If you do a search for it on Ebay you should find it. I have recently been looking for a cheap first amp and decided on getting it. It is hopefully now on its way...

ibasso P1 or Practical Devices XM4 or Zero Audiocraft for Senns HD595 (50 Ohms)???

Looking at the iBasso P1, Zero Audiocraft and the Xm4 to go with my HD-595s. Read that you can roll the Op amps in them. Is this just a case of pulling the original out and plugging in the new one? MrScary has said that the AD823an works well in the Practical Devices XM4 with the HD595...
