I have this weird preternatural ability to sense when new Grado's are about to drop. My GH3's just arrived this afternoon. :) I've trailed off the forums after the switch to the new message board system, but two days ago I figured I'd swing by and see what's going on and... Grado's releasing...

Hah - As a new member of the "Husbands who hide audio gear" club, I can't tell if my wife simply doesn't notice the random new pair of cans and/or new stack of Schiit, or if she's just banking this knowledge for when she needs to use it against me. ;)

Holy smokes. Just received shipment of my Mjolnir 2 and Multibit Gungnir. Finally mating my LCD-4 to a proper balanced system. And my socks have just been completely blown off. :)

Honestly, I think the issue some of us have is that it sounds like you have an axe to grind against headphones and, well, this is head-fi and we kind of like being positive about headphones. And, Schiit's wheel house IS headphone amps. AND, this is a Schiit unity forum... like, we kind of wanna...

For whatever it's worth, I don't find them particularly brighter than any other grado I've owned. I'm not sure what that says about the headphone but, I'm really happy with it.

Treble sounds pretty good too! I usually find too much treble fatiguing, and i don't find these fatiguing at all. That MIGHT mean their a little treble light but, I leave that kind of opinion talk to folks better suited for it. ;) I'll try and post some pictures in a few mins before I leave for...

Just got my GH2. I gotta say, as someone that moved on from Grado a few months ago (sold my GH1 and GS1000e), these cocobolos sounds pretty dang good. Dare I say it, even better bass response while still holding true to that classic Grado mid centric sound. Color me impressed!

I, for one, don't give a schiit about the texture/color of these things (there, I said it!;). The dang things look close enough. I can't believe we're even discussing this. Heh. Sure, it IS valuable information for schiit to have... and rest assured I'm sure they've read this. But come on...

Also listened to the Shangri-La and... well... it melted my face. ;) but, I mean, it really aught to at that price point.
