I got my KSC75X today and they sound superb! But when i play something with more bass impact in reasonable volumes the whole thing distorts really bad and makes a chirping sound when vocals are mixed with bass.. is this a known flaw or are mine bad? (Test it with Ariana Grande - God is woman)...

8k is where du must harshness is so i am happy to reduce this. I am using an old sock =D so relatively thick material.. the huge 5k to 6k dip is normal on the 400i i think? I've seen that in every measurement.

I've tested many things in the last days and came to the conclusion that the treble spikes are not caused by the driver but by reflections inside the pads. so I've lined the inside of my HM5 angled pleather with cloth these are the results: it really only effects the wanted area especially 8k...

Its not about the electronic sounds but about the mixing of her voice.  The S ant T louds clip every time on my 400i "A SSSSSSSSecret code carved" Yeah Photovision is cool but on most headphones unbearable ^^

the sibilance of the 400i is really messing me up. It is sooo much harsher as the 400s.  Harsher than the old ATH M50. And even harsher the Superlux 668b.  And i don't know why. =(

  Yes the 400i is more detailed. but i think it comes down to the treble difference. that i cant explain because as you can see in my measurements is roughly the same...  Maybe the mid-range boost of the 400s kills the treble a little bit? I have uploaded my measurements using Room EQ...

strange thing i noticed.  The 400i have alot more treble than the 400s but the response graphs i took are pretty similar in the treble. how can that be? there is a lot of sibilance on the 400i i cant hear on the 400s..  Anyone has an explanation?

should i return them? or is the possibility higher that the error is on my site?  I can only test it on the dac from my pc (asus z170 pro gaming) advertised as capable to drive 300 ohm headphones but struggles to play the 400i at adequate volume.  And htc one m8. both have the same issue and...

I don't think so because i measured a lot of positions and merged it. the differences where small. The headphone rests on a flat surface when i measure so the seal should be given.. Also strange that the 400s has more bass regardless of the pad.    

Soo I have done some measurements ! And as i already heared the 400i somehow have las   s bass than the 400s even with the stock pads. I have also included a friends fresh out of the box 668B for reference because this reading is quite similar to the one at innerfidelity...
