    shure iem recommendations

My E4cs just broke after two years of 40 hour a week use. I liked them for their compact size and their accurate delivery. The ergonomics of the headphones was nice as well. I'm existing on my E2Cs (backups) but I'm looking for something better. What's the best "bang per $" for an audiophile...

    Shure black foamies!! Arrghhh

I hope people heed sugarfried's warning regarding the size of the black inserts. I used the large size of the yellow foamies so I ordered the large black inserts. I thought my ear canals were large but the large black foamies actually result in pain after a while. The isolation and sound...

    $200 IEM

What you'll like is subject to your tastes. In my opinion the e4s provide a well rounded sound experience. Some people say they lack bass but i suspect they've not used the foamies and taken the time to learn how to insert them properly. peoples ears could vary physically as well. The durability...

Just Ordered Shure Black Foam Sleeves

Amazon always says 8-10 days because they want you to shell out $12 for shipping. I've placed (guessing) forty orders in the last year using "free saver shipping" and the stuff's on my door 5 days later. I got my e4s from earphonesolutions and like them very much but I'd rather have twice the...

Just Ordered Shure Black Foam Sleeves

maybe I missed any mention of this but is anyone aware that amazon has the olives for $14.99 http://www.amazon.com/Shure-PA910L-R...930252&sr=8-47 they offer free shipping over $25 so you could get 10 pairs for $30. It seems that people are paying too much!

Share your experience with the Shure E4Cs and IEMs in general

The E4s are amazing but they're not home speakers. I have a stellar home system but you can't drag it around with you. Definitely try the foamies, either old style or the new olive inserts which Amazon still has in stock. Check out shure's online guide to fitting IEMs properly. With foamies and...

    Headphones 5.1 surround sound

Perhaps not worthy of audiophile status but for about $30 shipped the kinyo's work well. http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec....0&RSKU=AA23500

What price should I be paying for E4Cs?

Go to earphonesolution's website and find the E4s. I believe there will be an "email us for our lowest price" link. I believe you will meet or beat any other vendor or ebay for that matter by doing this. They are an authorized dealer and their customer service is the best. An authorized Shure...

    Shure e4c wow

I work in a machine shop and advise you to try the foamies if you're not already using them. Even when the DAP is off the isolation is soothing in a loud environment. Once you get used to the over the ear setup they stay on like they're part of your head, important at work. Once you turn the...

Finally manage to get my e4c's to fit me

Did you view shure's website regarding fitting IEMs? It helps quite a bit. Have you tried the foamies? At first the "art" of getting the E4s seated properly seems difficult but after almost a year of ownership I could do it while running. It may vary by individual but you must persist and try to...

which is best? shure e4 or etymotic er4?

I wear the E4s eight hours a day, over the ear, at work and they seem nonexistent physically. No irritation whatsoever! The setup is VERY well thought out.

Shure E4/E500 Universal Foam inserts too small.

Are these the long awaited "olive" inserts that the shure fans have been talking about? I SHURE hope that someone posts when they become available for purchase. My E4s could use bigger foamies.

Best sub $150 IEM for Speech

I don't want to be limited to speech only! Sometimes on Friday at work a little Linkin Park or more extreme music is called for. Working in a machine shop isolation is key for hearing verbal content or, in music, maintaining the silent passages.

    Iriver H10 on sale.

It's not the smallest but it's rock solid and a fairly good deal. JR.com has the H10 20Gb on sale for $140 plus $7 for shipping.

    Shure E2Gs on sale!

Amazon has the E2Gs on sale for $61.65 shipped. It's a decent deal for a low cost headphone. i have no idea how long the sale is for.

Best sub $150 IEM for Speech

Seems like the E2s would be OK (lower bass) as long as you don't use the foamies. The e2Gs are on sale at amazon for $61.65 . I use both the E4s and the E2Cs for audio books. Isolation is the key for the spoken word and both shures work superbly in that respect!

    Yet another.. e4c, e5c, e500 or ? thread

I'm not trying to push the E4s (I love mine) but IF you get them go to earphonesolutions.com and "have them e-mail you their best price". It should be $170ish and they're an authorized outlet. Top notch CS warranty support etc. Of course if you want to spend a bunch more I'd bet the e500 would...

    Finally heard: UM2, E500, E4C, Super.fi. 5EB & the winner is?

I wish Linkin Park had some new material! I guess they're charred/done. I still like them and think the E4s do it justice.

    Finally heard: UM2, E500, E4C, Super.fi. 5EB & the winner is?

I thought that the E4Cs brought linkin park to life. I'm practically having out of body experiences at my machine shop job (dangerous!) because it seems as if Linkin Park's on all sides screaming at me. Excellent Effects. I still wonder if people really devote enough time to learning how to...

    Good price for E4c?

Earphonesolutions is an authorized Shure dealer (for warranty issues) and they have a 30 day return policy. These things and a $170-180 price (they have to email it to you) make the choice pretty clear. They're fast and professional as well.

    e4c/general iem first impressions

My first night with the E4s was a disappointment. I thought I had wasted a lot of money. I was being hasty and couldn't have been more wrong. Try the different tips but definitely try the foamies. Check out shure's tutorial on IEM insertion on their website. Individual tastes vary but, in my...

Shure E4c, Etymotic Er4p, or Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro

I've never owned the other two but the E4 sound quality seems stellar. Very accurate sound! The ergonomics of the rig is important as well. The E4s stay in and, with time, become part of you. Isolation is superb. I work in a machine shop and it's surreal the perfect audio experience I can have...

    E2C cable damage

    Help me pick an IEM!

"What kind of work do you do which allows you to wear them for 8 hours a day? Just wondering because where I work in the office environment I am not able to wear headphones at all sa it looks unprofessional". I work in a machine shop with automated CNC machines screaming all about. To truly...
