I see the list price is $299. I can find many pairs on eBay and elsewhere for $170 or so - is that for real? Should I be worried about counterfeits?

Go to earphonesolution's website and find the E4s. I believe there will be an "email us for our lowest price" link. I believe you will meet or beat any other vendor or ebay for that matter by doing this. They are an authorized dealer and their customer service is the best. An authorized Shure dealer can't post a sale price that's not approved by Shure. That's why you'll see $299.99 again and again. It doesn't mean you should pay that!

I bought mine about 8 months ago for $180 new. I then sold them after 4 months of extensive use for like $140 or so.
