Then don't buy it. And that's exactly what the guys at Schiit will tell you. DSD is going nowhere.- fenderf4i

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
The Redco mini-xlr connectors are the Switchcraft brand (TA4B etc.). They're good connectors and inexpensive. The best I've used so far are the Furutech. Pricey, but very very nice.- fenderf4i

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
The trick to getting the LED's aligned painlessly, is to slide the board into the outer aluminum shell first, then insert the dark grey inner housing last. Most people are putting the board in the inner housing first, and that makes it very hard to align the LED's with the holes.- fenderf4i

NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
This is why I love Schiit. No BS. What was your goal in bringing up the Fiio with him? That they should design and build one just for you? The only answer he could give you was, go buy it, because it's the product for you. You were at the point where you were just wasting his time. He is still...- fenderf4i

I'd much rather lug a DAP and small amp attached to it to sit on the deck at the lake with my LCD-2's, than take a laptop and non-portable amp that I would have to plug in to an outlet. This is the reason portable amps are made in the first place lol.- fenderf4i

It's not strange in the least. The built in amp only outputs so much power. It's common practice with DAP's and harder to drive headphones.- fenderf4i

Regardless, it's not boosting the bass. It's just less treble. That's it. You're not hearing more bass, you're hearing less treble.- fenderf4i

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
What your showing is everything being reduced, not just the highs. Imagine the line staying flat and only starting to drop off at the highs. The changes won't be linear like you're showing.- fenderf4i
