The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)

After I added the felt discs from MrSpeakers' “Doggie Treats” to my LCD-2 Fazor, they can be inserted under the ear pad without removing the pads, my LCD-2F sounds like the LCD-2 Classic but with better imaging and resolution.

Interesting, you don't find them too dark?

Imagine, we have a flat frequency response like the bellow blue line; the discs reduce the highs and will change the frequency response like the bellow red line.

So what we hear or feel is more bass, like the bellow.

the error is to believe it is a linear function

What your showing is everything being reduced, not just the highs. Imagine the line staying flat and only starting to drop off at the highs. The changes won't be linear like you're showing.

The changes are not linear, but they affect highs much more than low frequencies. The two pictures only help to explain, they’re not real.
