Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread

Listening with the TH900s on my WA7 2nd gen.. these cans are really breathtaking. I've found my new religion. Kaskade's 'Automatic' is so energetic, lively and sublime. Five Finger Death Punch's 'Got Your Six' is so gritty, visceral and detailed on these. Psytrance and reggae sound really dope...

    New CEntrance DACportable dac-amp

I'm enjoying the DACportable alot with my Audeze Sines. Battery life is about 8 hours as advertised. Sonically it's very musical and nuanced enough and I really like the EQ'ing! This thing pushes the Sines and even my EL-8s to comfortably louder levels. It's pretty cool how they can get...

    Audeze SINE Series

Yes, mono. Audeze says that TRS connectors work with the Sine as well

    Audeze SINE Series

I found that if I plug the left connector in halfway it produces sound, but there's no sound if I plug it in all the way. Weird. Solves that though

    Audeze SINE Series

Yeah I tried to fit it in there pretty damn good. I did go back to the OEM cable and both sides work perfectly.

    Audeze SINE Series

Hey guys I just had a little problem. I bought an aftermarket cable for my Sines and the cable has TRS connectors that go into the headphones, as the Sines should accept TRS. With the new cable, the left channel is dead while the right channel works perfectly. I tried swapping left and right and...

Audeze's 2016 revamp, re-voiced and re-engineered headphones, the entire line (except Sine and EL8 Ti; these have updates as standard)

Just got a pair of 2016 EL-8s after exchanging my old pair and I have to say the newest version is everything I always wanted the EL-8 to be. It's no longer a cheese grater for your eardrums that's for sure. In essence they now remind me of a bigger Sine headphone but with even better mids and...

    Audeze SINE Series

I definitely wouldn't call it "heavy techno"

    Audeze SINE Series

    NIN is considered industrial rock

    Audeze SINE Series

That part of the c-net review was bullsh**. I think rock/metal sound great on the Sines. As a frame of reference, I listen to stuff like Pantera and Nine Inch Nails and the Sines do not disappoint at all.

    Audeze SINE Series

I called Audeze and they said they already burn in every Sine headphone for 50 hours, and that they should be burned in for 50-100 more hours after

    Audeze SINE Series

To those finding the Sine 'boring' what volume are you listening to them at? I think they can definitely sound unengaging and less lively from 9 Oclock to 12 Oclock on the volume dial. In contrast I usually have the volume at 2 Oclock to 3. Just brings everything into the picture clearly...

    Audeze SINE Series

From Christian (PlusSound): "For Sine, be sure to select '3.5mm dual' under (headphone) connector option. For plug, you can select any (4-pin XLR, 3.5mm, 2.5 TRRS, etc) depending on your setup."

    Audeze SINE Series

I can confirm that PlusSound and Norne cables are available now. Trevor (Norne Audio) says: "Sine require a very small 3.5mm specialty connector, we have not updated our site options yet for it.  We do make them however.  So you just have to include in checkout notes right now that you want...

    Audeze SINE Series

3 places I know of where you can get aftermarket cables for the Sine would be Doublehelixcables.com, Norneaudio.com, or Plussoundaudio.com. Christian from PlusSound said this to me in an email:   "The stock connectors are 3.5mm mono plugs. After discussing with Audeze directly, they will also...

    Audeze SINE Series

I have both the Sine and the PM3. They are similar in that they share planar sound characteristics obviously but when it comes down to it I thoroughly enjoy the full, engaging energy of the Sines a lot more. The PM3 to me sounds a little duller and 'boring' in comparison and that's even with a 3...

    Audeze SINE Series

I'd take the Sine over the PM3 any day purely for enjoyment factor. I was considering the HA2 mainly for ergonomics to go with my smartphone but the Mojo for a bit more sounds like a more desirable option

    Audeze SINE Series

Anyone try the Sine with the Oppo HA2? Considering getting that amp and was wondering how they perform with each other

    Audeze SINE Series

Listening to these right now and I really have to say these hit right home for me. Deliciously smooth and lively with a palatable naturalness to the mids, this is what I would consider to be an "addicting" signature and presentation. With more burn in I'm sure they'll be exceptional all around...

Everybody just buy a pair of Sine and shut the screw up. After you've posted impressions of course haha
