Best budget ($100) Amp/Dac combo for laptop?

Thanks a lot for the response! Denon d2000's definitely do not require much power, and I plan on using these babies for years to come. So i'll opt for the cheaper option (Fiio e10k) $75 rather than the Schiit Fulla 2 (as aesthetically pleasing it is...)     Any thoughts about the Audioquest...

Best budget ($100) Amp/Dac combo for laptop?

Looking for a budget AMP/DAC combo for my pair of Denon d2000's. I will be using these primarily with my microsoft laptop.   I listen to classical, hip hop, r&b, metal, and EDM, basically everything!   Also, I was wondering if I even needed a DAC? Should I get a DAC/AMP combo or just a...

It seems that in every thread I post in, the website automatically forces me to subscribe to it. Is there any way to turn off this setting?

[REVIEW] VSONIC GR07 – Labor of Love

After owning these headphones for about a week. I am a satisfied customer. These really put my RE0 into the bin. I am absolutely absorbed with the sound of the mid-bass and sub-bass. The mid-bass is punchy and fast, making tracks like Kanye West - All of the Lights very relaxing to listen to...

    GR07 - Tips Thread

I purchased these headphones about a week ago and experimented with all of the packaged tips (the ones that could fit my ear canal of course!) I observed the best sound quality from the blue fake hybrids without the foam. These opened up the sound stage a tiny bit but more importantly I...

    The JVC HA-S500 thread.

How would these compare against the V-MODA M80, Phiation MS 400, M-Audio Q40, or Pioneer HDJ-500??

Thanks! That pretty much summed it up perfectly.

    Newbie question about Bass

Okay so when users refer to the quantity and the quality of bass what exactly are they referring to? Also, when one refers to a headphone possessing "good bass" does that mean that the frequency extends very low or instead that the bass is punchy and tight, controlled?

    The JVC HA-S500 thread.

For the price range of $40 these are excellent headphones. However, I'm wondering if there are any better headphones in the price range of $100-$200? Portable over ear headphones.

Looking for earphones under $100 ... any suggestions ? should be with high quality sound and used for sport ( running & bike )

I recommend the MEElectronic M6. For the price of $19.95 you can't go wrong. The headphones have ear-hooks to keep it stable while running, pretty good isolation but not too overwhelming so you can still hear a bit of your surroundings. It also comes with a shirt clip to keep the cord stable and...

Need help choosing portable headphones $100-$200 IEM/OEM

Going to New York City in August pretty soon and looking for a decent portable headphone in the price range of $100-$200. It can be IEM or OEM but preferably OEM since I think that will have better sound quality. I can't take my Denon D2000 on the trip because it is too fragile, so the headphone...

    Best MP3 Player under $150?

I'm looking for a very durable MP3 player that will last me a long time. The storage must be between 64gb or more because I currently have a 32 gb ipod touch that is running out of space. I only store high quality 320kbps mp3 files so I don't need an mp3 player with games and useless apps that I...

Please Help, Top 5 Headphones for Under $350.

For under $350 I strongly recommend the D2000. These aren't really made for portable use if that is what you are looking for. The build quality is very good but the wire is very long and thick and there have been some instances of nails unscrewing. Nonetheless, the sound quality is amazing. Bass...

Looking for good over ear headphones under $150 or so...

Sennheiser HD280 Pro are not very good in terms of comfort. They clamp down on your head really hard and for that price range I would highly recommend the AudioTechnica M50 (which also have hard clamping force, but the sound quality is unrivaled at the price range) which is actually pretty cheap...

    **Best HP's for the money**

Oh okay, That makes sense; I didn't know that at all. I don't understand why they would discontinue them, though. They are all amazing headphones. Hopefully I can sell my pair for $500+ used in the future due to the rarity. :D

    **Best HP's for the money**

That's true. But I think people are focusing more on how popular the headphones are in terms of their sound quality and overall value. Why have the D2000's become so expensive? I got my pair for $230 from J&R a year ago... now I see them around $300-400.

    **Best HP's for the money**

You can get them internationally shipped from eBay for around $290. It is used, of course. But they seem to be in great shape nonetheless. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Denon-AH-D2000-Over-Ear-Headphones-Mint-Condition-/130811580898?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item1e74fa51e2
