Discrete PPA Diamond Buffer - Alternative DIY Take :)
First of all, thank you Glassman (and of course ppl, Peranders, uhm, forgot anyone ? ) for the discrete buffers, they really sound good to me. I noticed they run quite hot, so I thought of adding on the accessible side of each one of those little heatsinks for ram modules (like these , about...- alexm

WTD PCB for portable amp (Advanced cmoy etc)
I really like your board, Guzzler (with tle2426), it's kind of cute I had started adjusting it for my polypro input caps and pot (Alps Rk097) in eagle, but with 18€ as minimum price for a drilled board at my local shop, being too lazy to etch it myself, in the end I went back to perf/proto...- alexm

Another review maybe worth having a look at: DigitLife funny how creative regional offices are sending 1820 cards to review sites and not the better performing (in measures, and hopefully subjective listening) 1212m/1820m- alexm

Regulated wallwart in Europe and BUF634 newbie advice
I've been searching in Italy for a 220V linear regulated wallwart similar to the popular Elpac for a PIMETA I'll be building (soon, I hope). In RSComponents I found this: 400-7140 (Mascot 2083) Does anyone think it might be comparable (in noise rejection) to the Elpac ? Or I'd better go for a...- alexm

Terratec Phase 22
Converter is the common AK4524, so I guess it's not so different quality wise from Audiophile, EWX, 6Fire. It seems the differences with EWX are basically : balanced 1/4 jacks instead of RCAs SPDIF instead of TOS-Link (even though, if I'm not mistaken, you can have SPDIF in EWX also, by...- alexm

Got my DT931's, dont know whether to laugh or cry!
I am considering the 931 or the Senn 590, I'm not sure which one would suffer less being powered by a "humble" projectstudio mixer (Behringer 1604). Also, which one is expected to be more tamed in the highs (60%progressive rock , 40%orchestral scores) ? Thanks a lot for any comment on these...- alexm

Senn 580 maybe a "waste" without an amp (comp to 570) ?
I'm going to get my first "serious" pair of headphones and I've narrowed down to either the Sennheiser 570 or 580 : I usually listen over long periods to music like that by King Crimson, Radiohead or solo piano(classical, jazz), so important is comfort factor and sound not overly aggressive...- alexm
