I know the K601 is probably the least popular among the AKG Kx01 series, but does any one have experience with how the CanAmp pairs with this? Is it blissful?

I tried removing the thin piece of foam pad that's sandwiched between the drivers and the donut circumaural pads, and that seemed to bring out the highs and tighten the bass. I haven't heard the k501 which is known to lean towards the top end, but I think this mod brings the K601 closer to Grado...

Four days! That was quick. Off the bat: 1) These have more bass than my 125s. I like! 2) The bowls look a bit different this time. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but they seem a bit softer and thinner? Will try to post more impressions later.

Hi, I'm limiting this question to the Grado SR series (SR60-SR325i) and the two lower Alessandros (MS1 & MS2i), so no RS / HF / PS / HP etc. What are your opinions?

I'm considering this as an upgrade path (sr-125 -> ms-2i). I'm interested in knowing what changes to expect? Will the Alessandro be considerably brighter? Will it probably be more fatiguing (brighter != fatiguing)? Should I expect better/more bass? Soundstage? Thanks!
