These are exactly what I was looking for. I am completely 100% pleased with them and their ridiculous bass. Senn and grado has nothing on beyerdynamic in my opinion.

My girlfriend has an ipod classic and is going to be traveling overseas by plane, and wants a decent sounding set of earbuds (that I'm buying). I don't think she would like a full-on IEM but maybe something a little more user friendly.

Both seem promising, they will be used with DT770's. I've heard that the D2 has shady build quality and I haven't really heard anything for or against the zen. Note: I don't want an ipod because I hate itunes, and I refuse to buy a sony product.

I don't know what's good anymore. I'm not sure if I'm ready for an ipod (I hate itunes, drag and drop is just about the only thing I can stand) but the ipod touch is a pretty amazing piece of technology.
